Two days before the wedding, I was in a MAJOR predicament with finding grey dress pants for the Keegs. After purchasing, and returning, every single pair of grey boys dress pants in the state of NH, we still had nothing. Turns out dress pants run about four sizes smaller around the waist and about 45 inches longer than they need to be for a six-year-old (incase you were wondering.)
Five department stores, and an entire day-and-a-half later, I ended up at Burlington Coat Factory where my only option was to purchase an entire grey suit, in a boys size 12, and have my Mom literally hem the pants in half.
I just realized that none of this has anything to do with the fedora aside from that as I bolted to the register to pay for the suit I passed a clearance rack. The kind of clearance rack where the most random stuff is just tossed. Like, a pair of left-over winter gloves, a cracked picture frame, and this hat. I’m pretty sure my feet actually made a screeching sound as I came to an abrupt stop. The tag had about eleven red stickers all over it, and the final one said… $3.99.
It turns out, that was the best $3.99 I spent on the entire wedding.

This little personal share is also a good reminder of what a simple acessory can add to an image… Think about hats, jewelry, scarves, boots, headbands, and other “elements of interest” you can add to your images, or wear to your session! OR – if you’re like Keegan – wear it all the time, and occasionally bust out in some random dance moves when no one is looking.
