Hi, I’m Stephanie (or Steph). Owner of Princeton House Photography. I am a self-taught natural light photographer based out of Concord, New Hampshire, and my love for photography grew from the same place as it did for many of my peers… I had a baby, and she changed my life. When she came into my world, I felt an immediate need to document everything she did, so I picked up a camera, and never looked back. By the time her baby brother came along “photo-shoots” were a regular thing for us.
That was over a decade ago (which is a little hard for me to believe.) My children have literally grown up in front of my lens, and in return, I have “grown up” as a photographer. Since then, it’s become a lot more than just snap-shot documentary of our lives. Photography is what keeps me moving, learning, and experimenting, and those are three things I never want to stop doing.
My passion for photography lies with those “in-between” moments. The real, raw, imperfect (or as I like to call them: organic) ones that happen naturally in-between the perfect moments you want to frame for Grandma. My goal with every session is to capture a little of both. Combining traditional portraiture, with those organic moments is what makes my style unique. Not only will you have images you can hang on your walls, you will also have images that tell the complete story of your life right now. Because, in my opinion: life is art.
A couple things about myself so you can get to know me a bit… I am a Mother of two, and a Step-Mom of two more. I love dogs! I hate spiders (let’s hope we don’t see any during our session!) I organize my closet in rainbow order, and I’ve never seen the original Star Wars movies (which both baffles, and horrifies my husband.) In general, I am pretty much a big dork, so don’t be too shocked when I say or do something goofy to make you smile for your photos.
